A shemagh is a traditional Middle Eastern cotton square scarf, primarily called keffiyeh (or kufiya), ghutra, or hatta depending on the region.

Often featuring black-and-white (Palestinian/Iraqi) or red-and-white (Jordanian/Gulf) patterns, it serves as protection against sun, sand, and wind.

All colors measure approximately: 1m x 1m
Burgundy and White measures approximately: 1.2m x 1.2m

The shemagh shields your face from wind blowing sand and dirt in your face. It covers most of your face and neck leaving only the eyes exposed shielding your face from wind blowing sand and dirt in your face.
