Swedish Leather AB Combat Boots – Genuine Military Surplus
Built for the harsh Scandinavian climate, these genuine Swedish military surplus combat boots are a classic piece of European military footwear renowned for their rugged construction, durability and cold-weather performance.
This style of leather combat boot was used by the Swedish Armed Forces for decades, from around the 1940s through to the early 1990s. Constructed from heavy-duty leather, they were designed to withstand demanding military use while providing excellent protection and support in difficult terrain and cold conditions.
One of their most distinctive features is the broad rectangular toe, originally designed to assist with fitting the boots into military ski bindings. Traditional Swedish military boots were purpose-built for use in snow and winter environments, making them particularly popular with military surplus collectors, outdoor enthusiasts and anyone looking for exceptionally tough old-school leather footwear.
Their cold-weather reputation is legendary, with reports that members of the British SAS used Swedish military boots during the Falklands War because of their suitability for cold and wet conditions.
Depending on production period and manufacturer, individual boots may feature different sole constructions and military markings, including the traditional Swedish Armed Forces Three Crowns insignia.
